Airport Transfers can be arranged from Kingston (our closest airport) and Montego Bay airports. Transfers must be paid in advance along with full arrival details: airline, flight no., arrival time. Should the arrival change and we are not informed and the driver has already left for the airport, then the transfer must still be paid. Guests should then seek compensation from their airline or travel insurance. For more information please email us with your flight arrival details and the number of persons to be transferred. With children please indicate their age.
On request we can arrange for guests to be picked up. Villa Mockingbird Hill works with a reliable local transportation company. The fare from Kingston is US$ one-way for 1-2 persons. From Montego Bay the fare for the 4½ hour drive is US$ for 1-2 persons one-way. Depending on the number of persons JTB licensed cars or a comfortable bus is used to pick you up. Please send us your flight arrival details (airport/airline and flight number as well as arrival time) and we will be happy to confirm your transfer arrangements. The driver will meet you outside the main airport building as you exit the immigration/customs area. Alternatively you can hire a car if you intend to drive around the island however if you are tired after a long international flight, we recommend you to avail of the transfer services and allow yourself to relax and enjoy the scenery instead of having to concentrate on unfamiliar road conditions and traffic.
Norman Manley International, Kingston is the nearest (100 km) international airport. It is approximately a 2½ hour drive along the east coast road- A4 (you avoid driving through the city of Kingston completely by taking this route. This route can be combined with stops at Reach Falls and Long Bay. You can also drive through the mountains along the Wag Water River (Junction Road or A3). Whichever route you select, each offers a uniquely distinct and different experience highlighting the wide diversity of Jamaica’s landscapes. Choose a different route for the journey here and back and making each a sightseeing trip rather than just a transfer.
Sangster’s International, Montego Bay is located in the North West of the island. The drive is approximately 4½ hours (A1) along the north coast via Ocho Rios, Oracabessa and Port Maria.
Air transfers are presently not possible to the Port Antonio aerodrome unless a small plane is privately chartered. This is recommended for small groups.
